So why is it so important to identify your target market?

Well, it’s because it will help you narrow down how to customize your pitch, where you would go to find these people, which groups you should join to meet like minded prospects.

You will find out who you want to work with and who can create the most leverage for your business. If you don’t know who you are targeting, you won’t be able to relate to anyone. Would you try to market make up to a man? No..or would you try to market weight loss to someone who’s 100 lbs? Noo..

Now knowing who you are going after will get really exciting, because you will know where to go to find them, you can dig deep inside their minds to understand their needs and wants.

HOW TO DETERMINE YOUR TARGET MARKET!

So why is it so important to identify your target market?

Well, it’s because it will help you narrow down how to customize your pitch, where you would go to find these people, which groups you should join to meet like minded prospects.

You will find out who you want to work with and who can create the most leverage for your business. If you don’t know who you are targeting, you won’t be able to relate to anyone. Would you try to market make up to a man? No..or would you try to market weight loss to someone who’s 100 lbs? Noo..

Now knowing who you are going after will get really exciting, because you will know where to go to find them, you can dig deep inside their minds to understand their needs and wants.

 

You can really learn and get to know exactly what your market needs and serve them in the best possible way, making everyone in that market happy. You will learn exactly how they interact and what they really need to take action and join your business. This is when you start to learn who your avatar is and learn to think how they think.

Not Everyone is perfect for you to work with. You just need to identify the right ones for you.

And you can start to do that by identifying who they are, and Stepping into your customers avatar.

So how do you determine and identify your Ideal customer?

Okay so here’s 6 things you need to think about to do that.  

  1. What is the ideal profession that they are in?  Think about what your business offers and how it can benefit someone in that profession, would they enjoy it. If your business offers make up. Maybe the ideal profession you want to look at are make up artist people?
  2. What is there age range, maybe your ideal is younger, ages 18-30, or older ages 40-50. Look at how your business can be appropriate for that age group.
  3. Location – maybe you just want people who speak English because its easier for you to work with. Maybe you just want someone local so that you can build locally, though these days you can build remotely and globally, but maybe you want to stay within certain countries that can relate to your business, and also if your company even offers their business in those locations.
  4. personality – Are they driven types, are they motivated, are they kind hearted, are they fun, do they care about helping others. Are they analytical? Maybe if you are in the financial profession, you may want someone who’s not numerically challenged. Those are the types of people that you may be looking for. Maybe you want to work with people that have similar personality as yours? Maybe you want to work with positive high energy people. The best part about this business is you get to select the types of personalities that you want to work with.
  5. Gender – Do you want to work with Males or Females only, maybe your business isn’t gender specific, but if it is, like Make up. Maybe you want to focus on just that specific gender, but ofcourse its not absolute. Maybe some men are make up artist and are great a marketing to the opposite sex. But for the most part you are probably going to want to go after woman.
  6. Interest – are they health conscious, what kind of books do they read, do they even like network marketing? Are they fans of network marketers, or online marketers. What groups would they be a part of. Things of that nature.

So it’s really important to identify who you want to market to, so pause this and write these down.

So now that  you’ve determined who your target market is, you will need to figure out where to find them.
