One of the places that we find leaders is in common industry groups or fan pages. So lets say we found a person that made a comment of an Industry leader fan page, lets say, Eric Worre fan page, There was a quote that said “ Network Marketing superstars are not distracted, they have tunnel vision, they are focused on their vision, on building an empire”. Now the person who makes a comment on that post, you want to look for a few things.
- Agreeable – You want to see if they Are they agreeing with the status post? Its really important here because. If they disagree with that post, and they write an argumentative comment on it that may even be negative, I personally won’t message or reach out to them, because someone that is always arguing with people on Facebook, means that they have too much time on their hands usually and, of course, there’s exceptions to the rule but just as a general rule, because there are so many other people to talk to on Facebook, I won’t connect with them. And, normally, people that are arguing on Facebook most likely that’s their attitude in their normal life. So, I don’t want someone that’s argumentative and not agreeing on my team. I’m not saying you can’t have a mind of your own, I’m just saying, I want to work with people who are on the same page as me, Some may beg to differ, but because this is my business, I want to work with people that works well with me and are very like minded to me. It will just help me grow my business faster with less headache, I mean, wouldn’t you want that? Wouldn’t you want people who would work well with you? It only makes sense right? You can do that too.
- And another thing to look for, when they respond to that post, Look to see if they are speaking from experience or theory. If they are saying something like, I agree, I always stay focus on one thing at a time, one brick at a time, so that I can build a strong empire,”, you see here that sounds like they are speaking from experience, and it sounds like they are intelligent, so you want to look for that. If they’re speaking from theory, that’s cool but those aren’t the ideal person that I want to look for. You want to look for someone who’s had experience in the field and knows what their talking about.
- Do they show power or weakness? Number one way to show power is speaking from experience. Number two is not getting defensive. So, he had a bunch of replies to his status. If people were arguing with them and they, just all of the sudden, got like a three-year old and getting all defensive and defending themself and calling them names and stuff like that, does that show weakness? Because I have a choice, I stay clear from those types. Now someone that show’s power is someone that handles it professionally and actually educates people on why they agree, or disagree. And, then, says, “Hey, I wish you the best though and ends it there, that’s what professional people with power do.
- Are they open? Are they really open? Many people on the post, will literally tell you that they are looking for a business opportunity, and I’ve seen a lot that because they want people to come to them with an opportunity, and try to flip them, but if you approach them the right way, you may actually stand out from all the ten million pitches that they will getting. “Hey, I bet that there are millions of people pitching you right now and I’m not trying to do that but I just want to find out exactly what you’re looking for.” When you say that, don’t you think they will be more apt to respond to you than the other people? You see my point.
- Are they active? Also, very important because if they are not, let’s say you go to their profile, you notice how I said, go to their profile before messaging them? If their last status update was a week ago, well, I know that if I message them, they won’t get back to me for a little while and that’s wasting my time. I want somebody that’s at least on Facebook once a day so that way they’d get back to me. They see my message faster and we can interact and get this whole recruiting thing done and wrapped up and in the bag. So, I want to make sure they’re active.
- Another great thing to look for. Is their profile professional? Aka, does it match with what I talked about in my previous branding videos, if you haven’t seen those yet, be sure to go see them so you know what I’m talking about? I talked about how you can make your profile professional but you see how that’s all tied together here. That’s just an example of exactly how I would be turned off by someone that had silly pictures or pitchy status updates and things like that. You see, you want to work with people that are professional and understand marketing so that’s why you may may want pick people that have a profile like I discussed in my previous branding videos. You want to make sure that you’re going after the right people. After you found the right people, you will work on crafting a message to them.
