FROM VISUALIZATION TO REALIZATION

Here’s an icebreaker – our brains hate us.
You crave sweet and fatty foods, and yet they make you overweight.
You are stuck in a rot, and what does your brain do?
Tries to help you, get you out?

Nope. It helps you make peace with it and stay exactly where you are, rotting away in a state of habitual dullness.

The fight-or-flight phenomenon only works when there’s a bear attacking you, or you’re asking someone out. But in mundane situations, we never back down, no matter how
insufferable, or dreadful the circumstances get.

Your brain doesn’t want to be successful, adventurous, fun. It just wants to stay put.
It thrives on what’s safe, certain, known.

Let’s take a look at the facts. Nostalgia – the past is always warmer, more pleasant, better than the present, or the future. As time goes by, it becomes brighter and brighter. We simply forget about the bad stuff, the humiliation, the exhaustion and the sorrow.

Remembers the 5 hours of labor you had to go through in order to have your first baby? Not really. All the pain, exhaustion and insomnia will be hidden away from sight once you decide to have a second, or third child.

The brain’s tendency to forget about the bad stuff and focus on the positives obviously has it’s good sides, but it can also stop you from moving forward, accomplishing greater things, getting out of your comfort zone.

Remember that eternal sentence, “It’s not too bad?”

ell, the bottom line is, sometimes it is. And unless you’re in the direct line of fire, you won’t even notice.
No matter how much you want to change, accomplish more than what’s expected of you, and go further than your small world, you will experience irrational pain, fear, doubt, aversion. Like you were eating sour fruits.
You’ll just stay locked in your cage.
Well, the good news is, that there is in fact a way out.
Thankfully, although our brains do hate us, they also love creativity, innovation, imagination.
That’s why visualizing your success is of key importance for achieving it.

Now that you know what your mind is doing, you can trick it into helping you out!

How?
Think about what you really want to do.
You’re tired of busting your back on a job you loathe? Think about what you would really want to do. Think about what your life could look like. Think of yourself in that situation, and then, think about going through the steps, one step at a time.
It will take a while, but eventually, the change you hate so much won’t be so sudden, or so extreme.

Since you gave it much thought, you will be more comfortable with yourself as happy, relaxed, free from unnecessary stress.

And once you’ve made your new, different situation familiar and known, it will be easier for you to make an adjustment, and start moving towards your goal.

You’re taking it slow, so you won’t feel bad about failing every once in a while. And also, you’ll be able to picture yourself every step of the way, and so, it will be okay to be proud every time you move forward.

That’s how you change for the better.
That’s how you can motivate yourself to move forward, and make some real changes. Become who you always wanted to be.

Sick and tired of your job? Why don’t you try earning a living online? Millions of people already do it. Determine your own hours, be your own boss.
