I don't really have an exciting "rags to riches" story. I'm just a typical Asian American.
My parents moved to the US when I was only two, in search of a better life. But building a life here and living the American dream is not as easy as people would have you believe.
I've got an accounting degree from the University of Connecticut, and a fashion design degree from Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. I even went on to study fashion design in Italy.
I'm very passionate about fashion, and I believed I'd be doing what I love for the rest of my life. However, after spending nearly 15 years in corporate America, I realized I wasn't as happy as I thought I'd be.
I can't honestly say that I loved any of the jobs I've gotten involved with. Don't get me wrong, I did like them, and the people were great, but I always felt like something was missing. Like there's more to life than just working 8 hours a day…
I wanted location independence and financial freedom, without having to spend my best years doing the same thing day in and day out.
I wanted to travel the world and go on exotic vacations. But most of all, I wanted to spend more time with my friends and family.
I saw internet marketing as my way out of the dull, uneventful life. I've seen the ads and success stories of other marketers. I have to admit, working part-time from home, and earning more than I was on my day-time job sounded tempting.
I was so eager to learn everything there was, that I got into debt. I've spent from 30-40k just buying courses, different tools, and trainings, in hopes of making this work for me.
In the end, I was overwhelmed by the amount of information, and struggled to put it all together.
I still had to work full-time to support this. Then, I would return home, and spend another 6-8 hours trying to get my online business up and running.
It was exhausting and stressful, to the point that I wanted to pull my hair out. But I wasn't ready to give up just yet!
I knew I was on the brink of something big. I've learned all the online tools, and had all the information that was available.
I just needed to figure out how to put it all together into a system that will consistently generate a decent online income…
